Danelectro Modified Factory Spec 1959 Reissue Electric Guitar Black
The Danelectro Modified Factory Spec 1959 Reissue is virtually identical to the classic electric guitar after which it's modeled. Manufactured from the mid '50s through the late '60s the original Danelectro guitar was sold in popular mail-order catalogs of the day. The reissue boasts an improved bridge that replaces the rosewood saddle with one made of metal to give you individually adjustable saddles for each string. The double cutaway Danelectro reissue guitar's body is constructed of Masonite and poplar with textured tape on the sides. The poplar neck bolts on and boasts a rosewood fretboard with the unique Danelectro "bottle" shaped headstock, and open-back 3-in-line tuners with white plastic buttons. Perhaps the most distinctive features of the Danelectro Modified Factor Spec 1959 Reissue guitar are its lipstick pickups. In the original they were constructed of alnico bar magnets and copper wire wrapped in brown tape and mounted in surplus, chrome-plated, lipstick tubes. Other Danelectro Modified Factory Spec 1959 Reissue Electric Guitar details include dual concentric tone and volume controls with white knobs, a white "seal" pickguard, and a non-adjustable aluminum truss rod.
